Nieuwe Luxor theater. Yesterday night we went to Camaretten, the stand-up comedy show where the new, promising, talent was chosen.

Diergaardesingel. The zoo is opened 365 days of the year, so why not go there today?

Witte de With. Namaste and TGIF :)

Voorhaven. The distillery mill used to produce the malt for malt wine, has a long and renowned history. Originally built in 1727, is was burned down, moved and rebuild. I think it is open for visitors on wednesdays and saturdays.

Coolsingel. I showed you before that bikes are great add material and this 'bakfiets' is used for someone promoting his social media activities.

We are having an extremely long and intense period of fog at the moment. I think Friday (!) we get some more wind and that will blow away the fog.

Kruiskade. The city is ready for the holiday season.

Sinterklaas arrived in Rotterdam yesterday and as you can see there were lots of children at the foot and on the Erasmusbridge waiting for him.

Keileweg. I would love to take a look inside this building but honestly, I am not that blue about it.

Vroesepark. I know lots of people think 'big'cities like Rotterdam are nothing but bricks and concrete but as you can see, we got our fair share of parks too.

Stadhoudersweg. Brightly couloured buckets not to be resisted.

Maasboulevard. Rotterdam on a foggy morning again, courtesy to my former co-worker Raymond Vink.

Stadhoudersweg. Poppies mid November?? There is a very severe winter predicted but I wonder when it is going to start then.

Kruisplein. Not only is it getting dark early, because of the colder nights, it was getting pretty foggy early too.

Beukelsdijk. Autumn afternoon sun.

Stadhouderslaan. I saw this add for Occupy Den Haag and wondered what it did in Rotterdam and why I hadnot seen anything about Occupy Rotterdam yet. Maybe I simply wasnot informed correctly coz I found online that yesterday evening there was a demonstration like event organised. Anyone from my local readers have any info?

Heemraadssingel. Athough colder, it still is great enough autumn weather to have a moment for yourself :)

Burg. Meineszlaan. With about 19 million (!) bikes in the Netherlands, odds are that sooner or later you have to repair a flat tire. And this is how you do it.

Beursplein. It's just one more month to go for Sinterklaas and all the appropriate candy is in the stores for weeks now. Here you see chocolate letters. You can give these (with the right letter being the first letter of the first name) to anyone at Sinterklaas. Co-workers, family, little children. Chocolate is always good.

View on Heemraadspark. I shouldn't be saying this out loud of course but sofar * knock on wood* we are having a very mild autumn. Last year this time I think we already had snow!

Middellandstraat. O yes, the oliebollen season has started!

Waterloostraat. I came across this great old car a couple of days ago and I think it suited the street very well.

Maaskade. Due to containers being the standard for packaging and transport and the move of harbor activity to the Botlek and Maasvlakte, the "Noordereiland" has become a residential area more and more, but you can still see lots of port history.

Nieuwe Binneweg. No I am not paid to say this, but if you are into the Italian kitchen, pay a visit to Spagettata. Seriously great pasta.
