Maaskade, view on some old port-related offices and houses.

Beneden Oostzeedijk. The St. Lambertus church, built in neo gothic style, dates back till 1875. The Lambert family produced several mayors of Kralingen in the 18th and 19th century.

Laan van Woudestein. I would LOVE to live in a house like this, but the very maintenance would already cost a fortune I reckon.

Binnerotte, stroopwafels @ the market. Who can resist them?

Museumpark. Reflections in the pole near the 'new' parking garage that not only costed double the estimate but also took a couple more years to get finished.

Oudedijk. Biking with the sun in your face.

Avenue Concordia. Built in 1883 this avenue still oozes grandeur in the style of the Dutch neo renaissance.

Zwarte Paardenstraat. Detail of the mural by Jorge Kata Núñez called El Trotamundos/the worldtraveller.

Vijverlaan, a quiet oasis of peace in the middle of town.

Willemsbrug. Parked Bikes make a nice silhouette.

Overblaak. Some cube houses seen from underneath.

Schiedamsesingel. These kids have a fantastic playground at their school but for the week to come, most of them will have autumn holiday!

O yes, the terraces on the Old Harbour are definitely open today. And if you find a spot in the sun, it feels like a beautiful spring day!

It's funny how I almost never end up in certain parts of town. This was my first to the Mijnsherenlaan.

My place. It's the first of the month, hence theme day again and todays theme is Mystery object.
Rotterdam is usually known for it's not to be missed down-to-earth objects or atmosphere, so I found it hard to think of anything appropriate. This is the closest I came. Not really mysterious (although this much sunshine in October is a mystery to most Dutch) but the way they are made, spider webs are more intruiging to me.
