Plein 1940. This one is for Jess. As I learned recently the statue by Zadkine wasnot made for Rotterdam specifically. In fact he tried to sell it to Berlin and other cities before it was bought by Amsterdam and brought to Rotterdam by the then director of De Bijenkorf.

Boezemlaan. It's going to be a beautiful day today, so go out and enjoy it while you can.

Schiekade. Looking up at some great facades.

Delistraat. Some great car I ran into. No pun intended.

Europaweg. Maasvlakte 2, an expansion of the Port of Rotterdam, will shortly cover 1000 hectares of industrial sites, located directly on deep water. The sand for the land reclamation comes from selected locations at sea but also becomes available when the port itself is excavated. This sand is sprayed onto the sites and forms the foundation of the hard and soft seawall in the North Sea.

Klein Coolstraat. I thought it was just a cute picture. Nothing I would normally associate a big city like Rotterdam with.

Delftsevaart. The weather is not that great these days, so I hope the flowers will last a couple more days.

Bulgersteyn. It's over and done with my holiday, but good to see all back here again!

Pompenburg. The house with the enormous window stroke me as a proper canal house one usually sees in Amsterdam.
