Korte Hoogstraat. It's hard to see I admit, but I didn't want to stand in front of the kid too obviously. On it's shirt it says: "010 is nog just a code". And it sure is not. 010 is the area code for Rotterdam :)

West Kruiskade. This butcher is know for its wide variety of products serving Chinese, Surinam, Antillian, Cape Verdian customers. Pigs heads, tails, legs, goat meat, pica sausages, ham di pascu, there is not much you can think about that they don't have.

Boezemlaan. Looking onto the new residential buildings in Crooswijk.

Pompenburg. His royal highness is performing tonight at Ahoy in Rotterdam. I bet there will be tickets for sale if you go there an hour before the show, but be prepared to pay muchos euros!

Goudsesingel. Rotterdam is known for it's never ending building projects but some are pretty annoying. This main street is open for months now and although traffic is less because of the holidays, it's a pain to get blocked at all the detours.

Deliplein, restaurant Kwiezien offers some great cheeses for desert. What do you usually eat for desert?

In the years since the suppression campaign began, Falun Gong adherents have emerged as a prominent voice in the Chinese dissident community, advocating for greater human rights and an end to Communist Party rule.

Van Aerssenlaan. No, flamingo's are not Dutch residents by nature, but the stork is and as he is the only one who can fly away, he is profiting from their food and then leaves when he wants some time for himself and the mrs.

Schouwburgplein. I spotted this example of wild knitting on a lamp post the other day. He must have been cold.

Schouwburgplein. This weekend it's North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam and the city welcomes (jazz)musicians this whole week with the program North Sea Round Town.

Deliplein. This afternoon at 1 PM the party to celebrate 100 years of Chinese in Rotterdam starts. There is Chinese food, you can have your name tattooed in Chinese caracters ( Tattoo Bob is a few doors away) and so on.

Weena. I had never been in a bike cab before but the other day when I was packed and tired I seized the opportunity. As you can see from the bike passing us by, it is not like you go fast. Still, I wouldnt have liked to trade with the guy in the green shirt.
