Abraham van Stolkweg. The Rotterdam animal rescue welcomed visitors today and when my children saw this little terrier run like crazy we had some convincing to do that right before our (booked) holiday a new dog was not sensible. Only a matter of time till we have one I reckon.

3e Katendrechtse Hoofd. In the Netherlands Remembrance Day is commemorated annually on 4 May. It is not a public holiday. Throughout the country, military personnel and civilians fallen in various conflicts are remembered. 2 minutes of silence are observed at 8:00 p.m. Remembrance Day is followed by Liberation Day tomorrow.

Herenoord. Since a couple of years now, Rotterdam has several flock of sheep to 'mow' the grasses. Not only do they prefer certain grasses and herbs, seeds cling to their furs or are distributed through their droppings, thus creating more variation in flowers and plants in the bigger city.
