Judohall. As you may have learned from me, my 3 kids all judo and thus I spend many a weekend in gym halls watching feet tackle legs.

Weena. The Westin Hotel claims to be the only 5 star hotel in town. Never had the need to stay there, so can't really give a review. Just for the view though, i might try to make it up to the top one day.

Noordplein. 4000 M2 of cooking utensils, books, cutlery, pots and pans, stoves, coffee machines and approriate beans to go with it, chefs knives. You name. Kookpunt (Boiling Point) has it. There's an online shop too! Seriously dangerous for my wallet these shops.

Delftse Vaart, chocolaterie De Bonte Koe (the coloured cow) has opened its 3rd shop in Rotterdam. I once took a workshop there and took home about a pound of self prepared bonbons. Which lasted about 2 days.

I don't know about you, but in my house my cats rule; this is how I found my bedroom yesterday. Today we celebrate Liberation day in the Netherlands. There are festivals and there is music and joy. These cats (the brother in the back with his 2 sisters) celebrate their 3rd birthday.

Corner Veerhaven/Calandstraat, Lloyd monument. Today is Memorial Day and this monument remembers the employees of the Royal Rotterdam Lloyd (shipping organisation) that were killed during their work at see in WWII. At 8 pm everyone will stop what they are doing for 2 minutes to honour and remember those who gave their lifes for our freedom.
