Hoogstraat. I wonder how many lights our central library has shining, even during the day.

Westerkade. Cows and bikes. A perfect Dutch combination.

Willemskade. View on of the most famous bridges of Rotterdam: the Erasmusbridge.

Beukelsweg. This home for the elderly, and especially elderly people from Surinam (a former Dutch colony) is called Wi Mofina Tampe; my humble home.

Maaskade. The weather is absolutely fantastic at the moment and if you are looking for a nice terrace, with a view on either the Erasmus- or Willemsbrug, check this one out while sipping your cider :)

Wijnhaven, despite the young green and older red, a bit of a grey day.

Blaak. The upcoming visit of the Dalai Lama to the Netherlands on June 4 & 5th, has caused some diplomatic (and threatening with economic sanctions) rows from the Chinese. So far our government has held its backs straight.

Weena, Central Station. In a couple of years great things will arise here. For now it's been a building site for the last 4 years.

Somewhere between Rotterdam and Delft I came across this quiet Dutch spring landscape.

Overschieseweg, its been a while since this iron and metal factory has been open.

Henegouwerlaan. Spring is getting back and forth. We've had some pretty nice days already, but you sure need a good jacket now.

Blijdorp. These are John and Tom, the tennis teachers of my son Timo who had a special Easter tournament yesterday. We celebrate today as 2nd easter day. Hope you have a free day too!

My place. Happy easter everyone, go easy on the (chocolate) eggs, mind your cholesterol :)

Mauritsweg, cafe De Unie. This replica of the original cafe that was build on the Coolsingel, but destroyed in WWII, is a classical example of the Dutch 'Style' architecture and immediately makes one think of Mondriaan. Not that these people enjoying a lovely day, cared :)

View on the river Meuse/Maas with in the middle the Rotterdam Port Tower and the Montevideo tower and very tiny and hardly visible, Hotel New York in front of it.
The weather has been quite unpredictable the last days and I so hope that easter will bring back the sun we had a week ago!

Westerstraat. This is where i try to get my body into shape again and my mind at peace :)
Bikram Yoga or Hot Yoga as some also call it, is a series of 26 postures done in a 40 C room, for 90 minutes in a row. This is serious sweating people but I like it a lot.

De Esch, Watertorenweg; the water tower. This tower dates back till 1871 and is the oldest water tower of the Netherlands and had reservoirs that could contain 1 million liter. It now hosts a restaurant and offices.

Van Manenstraat. The guy in the white t-shirt seen on the back, is Robbert, my husbands who turns 46 today. This is him last Saturday, helping out at the waterpolo match. Gefeliciteerd liefje en nog vele jaren <3

Doelstraat. Yesterday we had the Rotterdam Marathon and for the 3rd time in a row my sons participated in the 1K Run. No they didn't win, but we all had great fun and even got to see the great Johann Olav Koss, a former speed skater, who skated 10 world records over the course of his career. After he stopped skating in 1994, he became spokesperson and later CEO of Right to Play and that is what the speaker is talking about right now.

Van Oldenbarneveltstraat. Friday night I was at the reception of Sander and Hugo's shop Mostert & Van Leeuwen and of course there were only true fashionatas present :)

Beukelsdijk. I am having a hard time with my company in the present 'crisis' situation and see more than these little clouds on my path. Let's hope the sun will shine soon.

Vierambachtstraat. Would you do things differently in hindsight?

Nieuwe Binneweg. Someone missed the opening of the bin and spilled it on the letters that say WASTE.

Judo-gymhall in Blijdorp. My daughter Caroline who proudly presents her yellow belt she earned after her judo exam 2 weeks ago.
