Aert van Nesstraat. What else would you name a building in Rotterdam?

Lage Bergse Bos. Downtown all the snow is gone, but in the slightly remote areas of the city, there is still plenty to be found.

Weena. All sorts of transport. Some seem easier than others.

Kralingse Plas. A tiny robin to colour a grey morning.

Aert van Nessstraat. A couple of years ago, cupcake bakeries were hard to find in Rotterdam. Now I now at least 2 downtown. This is Ten to Three, which always makes me think of Laura :)

's-Gravenweg. Do you think the people living there are happier than you and I?

Gordelweg. I strongly dislike pigeons to be honest, but I liked how they were sitting here and even made the tree bend.

Lage Bergse Bos. Now the snow is gone everything is moshy again. Yuk.

Zweedsestraat. And suddenly the temperatures are above zero and laundry can be hung outside without getting frozen.

Van Aerssensingel. Who couldnot use a warm sweater these days? This tree in the zoo certainly appreciated the gesture.

Straatweg. Lots of school kids have ice skating instead op pe lessons at the moment and who can blame them. It's been a long time since we had such a cold period. The eleven cities tour is cancelled. For the moment though!

Stadhoudersweg. Some die hards practicing for Wimbledon.

Kralingse Plas. Ice-skating on natural ice. The e-word (eleven-city-tour) is being whispered louder and louder. If the freeze continues for at least another week, our country is going berserk for a 200 km tour on natural ice all through the province of Friesland.

Spangensekade. View on the Mevlana mosque and for the ones with good eyes on the right the Euromast.

Boezemlaan. I read a story the other day in the newspaper about an American school banning Ugg boots for girls because they hid their cell phones in there. As you can see, Ugg's are a universal problem :)

Heemraadssingel. I told you we were expecting snow didn't I? It was beautiful for about 2 hours and then the snowplows and cars spoiled most of it alas.

Laanslootseweg. It is pretty cold out at nights and during the day it still freezes too. This weekend (as long as today's snow doesnot spoil it) there will probably be kids skating over this river.

Hofplein. The International Film Festival is at full speed. Which movie would you recommend?

My place. Ladies and people, meet Sam, one of our cats. As you can see Sam's favorite activity is sleeping. Preferably over the heating. Today my little sister turns 44 (AAAGGGHHHH, how is this possible) and it's also theme day. Today's theme is animals. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants .

My back yard. Well, for some of you this probably won't qualify as snow, but it's our first this winter, so I am saying YEAH snow!!
